nah i feel like this is overdone.. anecdotal from a us bb but i didn't even wear a suit (button up shirt, slacks, tie and jacket) on the 1st day and guy on my team said i was overdressed.  if you want to be like everyone else wear a suit, if you want to be an individual what op's planning to have is good.

@op would suggest bringing a jacket but otherwise you've got everything else on pt.  good luck mate.

Would suggest professional the first day. Even if it says business casual, most of the interns will wear a suit an tie first day, no one wants to be the one that underdressed. If you get there and everyone, even the interns, is business casual just take the tie off and unbutton the top button of your shirt.

forgive the stupid questions, but when people say wear a suit/tie first day of internship, does that mean both the first day of training and also the first day at the desk (the 2nd week)? or is just doing the former good enough

Preferably both, but during training you'll get an idea of what people in the bank wear/may meet a member of your team so you can ask.
