2008 Summer Analyst List of Banks of Apply to

Anyone want to help me come up with a list for people interested in trading? The BB's are obvious, but I always have a hard time finding listings of banks not in the top 15 or so where there are lots of trading opportunities. I would like to get a BB job, but since it is so competitive, I may as well apply to a lot of MMs too incase the BBs don't work out.

Please help with the list. It would also be nice to include their focus.

Goldman Sachs Morgan Stanley Merrill Lynch Credit Suisse Deutche Bank UBS Citigroup Bank of America Lehman Brothers Barclays Capital Bear Stearns JPMorgan

do you guys think it'd be a good idea for us to go to the FT info sessions, and start getting to know the recruiters/bankers, even though we'll be applying for SA spots?

You can, I know lots of people who didn't. I myself didn't. It's ok to show interest, but don't be a pest; the recruiters know you're there to suck up, so try to make it as little like actual sucking up as possible. I would say it's a little hard to differentiate yourself, and honestly it won't help too much. You'll just end up bored when you hear the same things from the same people in the same rooms when they roll around in the spring, and those ones are more important because they're closer in time and the focus is on Summers, not full-timers.

i went to one of two and realized it was pretty dumb and a waste of time. unless you make a fantastic impression and blow people away, it really wont help you that much.
