Alternative jobs after trading stint
Hello - wondering what are some alternative career paths after my 2 year stint at a commodities trading shop as an analyst. Have been working as a data analyst focused on quantitative modelling, but just have found that I don't particularly enjoy studying the markets and the super technical aspects of the role. I want something more people oriented. Current employer is increasingly pushing me towards taking on commercial responsibility as a trader, so I feel that the clock is ticking to a certain extent.
What are other paths people have pursued after trading?
Thanks in advance.

I was going to say commercial development at your firm. Meet with producers and buyers of the commodity to structure deals. It doesn't get any more personal than that.
Isn't increased commercial responsibility synonymous with less technical work and more face to face interactions? Seems like you are on the right path.
No - at our firm it means executing and owning responsibility for trades, rather than just doing analytics to support them
And to clarify, trades are executed through a computer program, not through human interaction
