Analysts vs Traders (Comp, PnL)
How do these roles stack up, who gets paid more, who has a better WLB? From my understanding the analyst provide the trading desk with the research they use to trade but it seem like traders are the ones, in some cases, brining in the 7 figure bonuses, can someone explain this to me? When traders are looking for a new role and they have to show their PnL, shouldn't some value be placed on the info they are getting from analyst.
