Asia Experience to America
Currently, I am in a 1 year internship in a BB in Asia doing equity sales. I was wondering if the experience is relevant work experience in America. Will it help me secure interviews or is it viewed a a not "qualified" work experience
I wouldn't think it's very relevant in most cases especially if the working language is not English. Getting an American work visa while working outside the US also tends to be quite difficult for citizens of most countries.
Argee on the visa but thankfully in work is in english
Working language should be English if you are in HK or Sinagpore. Assuming you don’t need visa and your bank is well known, it would just count as another prestigious looking internship. Certainly relevant within the same industry. I did a summer in Asia and got plenty of interviews for FT stateside.
