Asking for Additional Prep Materials for Trading Internship this Summer

I’m going to be going in as a trading summer intern, and finished the required reading they assigned me. Would it come off as too needy/annoying if I emailed the trader asking for additional resources/material to look over before the summer starts or should I just prepare on my own?
