BB summer internship hearing back...chances??
Just heard back from a BB after their superday last week. The HR girl said I was still in consideration and kept using the term "strong candidate". She said they had one more superday later this week and they would let me know their final determination by next week. I asked if she told this to everyone or if people had already gotten eliminated. She said there were people that had already been eliminated, however i was still on their list of strong candidates.....so my question is this: Do I still have a shot at this thing? I'm guessing the "strong candidate" just means waiting list. Does anyone from the waiting list ever get the summer offer?
I think you still have a shot. I've heard that personally being told to me (not in IB tho) and I ended up getting offer.
Yes, you can get in on off of the waitlist. It boils down to whether other kids accept their offers or not, and also the strength of the candidates at that next superday.
Yes you likely do still have a shot. I was called this recruting season (Regional office of a BB) and told I was a "top candidate", and a few days later I ended up getting an offer. So don't count yourself out, but also realize your offer may be contingent on someone else not accepting, but offers are offers so if you get one, who cares how it came to be.
