BB waitlist question
So I had the superday 2 weeks ago...they got back to me a week later saying I was still a strong candidate and they would let me know in a week (wait-listed)....Just got back to me and they said I was still a strong candidate, but they still had another superday and would let me know next week....soooo what's the deal? Has anyone ever got an offer 3 weeks after the superday? Am I gonna need the luck of the irish for this to work or what?
the week was the most optimistic scenario...could be 3 weeks could be 4 could be never just gotta hope for the best
is this GS by any chance?

keep following up, never give up
I was waitlisted at GS for months (March to early May) when I applied for SA last year and heard the same news week in and week out. a friend of mine was also waitlisted, but he went ahead and took an offer from BX the next week. I ultimately got rejected
Try to find out your ranking within the waitlist. If you are 1st or 2nd you can keep hope. If not just move on, there no way people massively reject offers.
There's no way you will be able to find your rank on the waitlist. But FYI it is possible--I was on hold for 3 weeks during recruiting before getting the offer--generally what happens is they will wait until the end of their last superday, and then will see how many spots are left/if they liked anyone better than those at that superday and give offers to the top x on the waitlist
(the reason i say this is because I know someone else who got an offer who was on hold the same day as I did--the firm waited until the last superday ended and then sent offers to everyone who was high enough on the waitlist)
^^^^^^ this
leverage, did you follow up with your interviewers? i've been on hold with a bb for 3 weeks and haven't done anything about it (just because i was told it wouldn't help to express interest again). anything i can do to help? or is it just a waiting game
bump
I touched base with HR about once a week (actually they would generally call me, but I did shoot them questions I had from time to time). But never with any of my interviewers...generally once the interviews are over and immediate decisions are made they are no longer involved in the process, since other people likely did the other interviews. I did send them thank you notes after the interviews, but never anything else. Although I did get a congrats from one of the interviewers once I received the offer. Have you been in contact with HR somewhat regularly?
I interviewed almost 3 weeks ago and got an email a week after my interview from HR saying i was put on hold and they would get back to me as soon as they could (so this was 1 week ago). I replied to the email and thanked them for letting me know about my status and told them i was still really interested. i never reached out to my interviewers but i did sent them thank you notes and got a few responses back. i guess i'll hear back this week, but i'm not feeling too lucky because i already know one person who accepted an offer. and it's a super small group..
