BNP vs HSBC vs Millennium Management back office?
Hey guys, first time poster here. I recently got summer analyst offers from BNP S&T, HSBC S&T, and Millennium Management's infrastructural internship. I was wondering which is the best offer in terms of future career prospects. My main goal is to eventually make a move to a HF, and maybe transition to a BB S&T analyst position after graduation if I have to.
If you want to go into S&T, start with an internship there. Millennium is great, but never take a job based upon your idea or the hiring management's idea that you can lateral between departments. FO=FO, BO=BO.
Similar to being the accountant for the Yankees or actually playing on a Single A minor league team. One gets to says they actually play and has a "chance" to go the majors, one is an accountant.
Very good point. Thank you for the feedback! By the way, between BNP and HSBC, which one is better for future full time recruiting/moving up within the firm? Or which one is more reputable?
