S&T at an IB or Product Owner at Revolut?
Hey everyone,
I recently graduated from a top 10 university globally with a degree in Engineering, and I’m currently deciding between two job offers:
- Sales & Trading at an investment bank
- Product Owner at Revolut
The S&T offer comes with significantly higher compensation, but I’m concerned about the long-term outlook for the industry, particularly with the rise of AI and increasing automation.
On the other hand, Revolut seems like a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tech and fintech, take ownership of a product, and develop skills that could open more doors in the future. However, I don't know much about the company or what career progression looks like for Product Owners there.
My main priority is long-term career growth, earning potential, and future-proofing my career in the age of AI, rather than just maximising my starting salary.
Which path would you choose, and why? I'd especially appreciate insights from people working in S&T, fintech, or product management.
