BO internship to later get an S&T internship?
I have been offered a compliance role for 3 months at a stockbroker that also does M&A and has some trading desks. Will taking the BO compliance role be beneficial or detrimental for my CV if I want to get an S&T internship next summer? Because I can't seem to get a FO internship at all (I'm in my second year summer of non-target undergrad).
I told the guy who offered me the role that I am mostly interested in S&T, but he said the only available one is compliance at the moment and that I can get to talk to people at the desks after I'm done with my work for the day.
Can I later present that experience as if I've been exposed to a lot of FO topics?
