This is a very dumb question but what do people at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch say when people ask them where they work. Bank of America? Merrill Lynch? BOA-ML? Since the name is so damn long I cant imagine saying all of it.

Have a few friends that are analysts and interns over there, they refer to it as BOA merrill....
The guys who came in from ML that I know still refer to it as ML.
Also, their business cards all say BoAML. I would guess that once everything has been intergrated for a while ppl will start saying that.

There's still a pretty big separation I believe between the "Merrill side" and the "BofA side", in regards to pay packages, culture, etc.
Why isn't it Barclay Lehman or JP Morgan Chase Bear in the woods?
I guess when you are literally bankrupt you don't get as much leverage in the name area
