Buyside risk quant -> sellside trading/strats?

Does this type of move make any sense/does it happen much? Getting bored of risk, not seeing a very high probability of moving internally within a reasonable time frame and I quite like the sound of some sell side trading or strats roles I come across where it's got quantitative aspects but still get to interact with people.
