Can I negotiate my salary as an incoming FA?

Going to work at a BB (MS, JPM, GS).

I just finished my internship with a return offer and will be coming in as a FA next year.

Can I negotiate my salary? I’m thinking the 9% inflation year-to-year and how New York’s rent has sky rocketed.

I know the answer is technically “yes you should always negotiate your salary”, but I’m just second guessing because this firm is a big deal and I don’t want to cause any draw backs. Can that even happen? Regardless, I wouldn’t be aggressive about it at all, just wondering if I should even mention it.

I’m unfamiliar of how to approach this. Any advice helps
