Can I Pivot to S&T Last Minute?

I have an AC from a spring conversion for Investment Banking at a BB. Realised I hate IB and like trading, is there a way I can approach changing the AC to S&T in any way or should I just do it for IB and take what I get?

Was thinking could get the IB offer to show I’m competent and have signed a contract then tell them I’m more interested in S&T so I insulate myself from being rejected if I tell them before.

Thank you to anyone who provides their input / opinion.

So you have an AC for a spring conversion - is the date set? You can swap to be honest and I have heard of people changing their minds, especially if the firm you were a spring intern gives automatic AC for the summer.

I would definitely not sign a contract and then say "oh I want to swap because I don't like IB". That makes you look frankly stupid and shows that you didn't think about what you wanted before you signed a binding contract.

Is the firm RBC / DB ?
