Can I trade if I work for a publicly traded company?

I have been trading stock options in my personal trading account for over 3 years. I am currently looking for a job as a data analysts/data scientist. If I get a job with a publicly traded company in healthcare (or any other industry outside finance) can I still trade? Are there any restrictions I should be aware of?
