Can Someone in S&T Refer You For IBD?
I'm currently recruiting for IBD at a BB, and I've connected with someone in S&T and have arranged a chat with him. Given he's in S&T, would he still be able to push my resume/refer me for IBD at the same bank?

No. The most he could do is maybe give you the name of someone he knows in IBD but even then that is a very weird question, I know if I was on the receiving end there's no way I would answer it
You do realize you are wasting someone's time only to eventually ask them to recommend you to a completely unrelated division to their group?
Fully expect that he gets pissed off, and blacks you out from S&T at his bank. It's very difficult for traders and sales people to take time away from their desk, and he is going to do it for you to get disappointed.
