Cold emailing - Not necessarily IB

Hi, Im in the process of cold emailing various banks (not necessarily IB, rather PWM, local banks down here in the Florida area, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale etc)

and i was wondering who should i email it to... WSO has a pretty thorough email list directly to some people- so should I email them "directly" or rather email as many contacts as I can regardless who it goes to?

thanks

You should email as many contacts as you can - the higher up the better. But use discretion (I wouldn't be emailing the CEO for example). I would normally email/call one person in the group that I have some ties to (alumni, prior work experience) and go from there. I generally avoid analyst/associate levels and go VP and up.

remember its a no-loss situation unless you are rude or say something horribly stupid they get hundreds of emails a day- worst case they will ignore you and forget about you by the next day
