Commercial Banking Intern to S&T Analyst?

Hi all,

I am currently completing a year placement in Corp finance for a household name pharmaceutical company.

While I am enjoying this and it's teaching me a lot, I'd much rather be interacting with clientele and be in a more sales orientated position.

To gain some experience in this area I have accepted an offer for an internship at a large International Bank this summer in the Commercial Banking Division (credit sales &relationship management).

I was wondering what I can do to leverage this experience into a S&T analyst program.

What could I do within my time left on my placement and during my internship to position myself for the best chances to land a role in the financial markets.

I am also considering a masters partly for the reason I'd be able to apply for a second internship.

Any tips, advice, opinion or anecdotes would go a long way in helping.
