Corporate Action Trading
Hi
Does anyone know about Corporate Action trading strategies? Eg Scrip trading or trading around other corporate action events? I presume this type of trading takes place in equity finance/delta 1 space of capital markets divisions of dealer banks. Anyone with specific knowledge would be be appreciated. I have 10 years trading experience in equity derivatives on yield enhancement and arbitrage side but no corp action trading experience and I am going for a job interview soon so would like some insight into potential strategies

What exactly is corporate actions trading?
So when AAPL decides to do a stock split to bring price to $40, then corp actions traders jump in and do their magic?
Or when Steve Jobs buys back 1mil shares, then these traders jump in?

probably would do merger arb as well.
