creating reports as an intern in S&T

I was reading a few 'day in the life of an S&T intern' posts, and most of the interns create daily reports. What do these daily reports compose of? Obviously it depends on the desk you are on, but in general, what info would you put on these reports? Also, how would they differ if you are on a Sales desk vs. Trading desk?

On the trading side it might be helping with PNL calculation and distribution, or putting together the morning commentary/market levels sheets.

Also was wondering this.

Should we have any prior knowledge of PNL calculations and distributions or how to put together morning commentary/market level sheets or is that the type of thing we'll learn and then have to do.

don't stress about the morning reports. the youngest person on the desk will show you what is expected / if different traders prefer things done in different ways. it'll usually consist of things like pnl breakdowns, relevant analyst reports, news summaries etc. nothing too exciting and def nothing that you're expected to know coming in.
