Current S&T Environment

Hi everyone, a new user here, currently in senior year at a Canadian target university.

Done the rounds of networking and started applying to a bunch of rotational S&T programs in Canada and abroad. From the info I've gathered so far, it seems like this is a pretty good recruiting year for people looking to break into S&T. From what I've heard so far,

BMO: 8 (canada-wide) RBC: 15 (canada-wide) HSBC: 5? (they're expanding in canada apparently)

Are these regular annual class sizes? People currently working there, are the desks being short-staffed currently? Does anyone else have projected class numbers for other BB's?

On another note, got a first round interview for BMO tomorrow. Any last-min tips?

Maybe Canada is hiring, but trying to break into S&T in the US this year is going to be almost impossible. It's bad all around, everyone over hired SA, but if I was looking, I would want to be in banking. They seem to have it less bad.

i just heard 10 at TD.

but i heard it's still pretty bad on bay st. overall since most of the guys are only getting in thru some sort of connection/angle. only a small % seems to be getting in on merit/experience.
