DB FX Sales Director Informational Call Prep

Hi all,

I've been diligently networking and have managed to set myself up for a few informational calls at different firms. I had one already with an Emerging Mkts Fixed Income Sales director and having been less interested and knowledgeable in that area than other sectors, and also having searched frantically all over the internet for information about that particular desk at the firm as well as exactly what the function entailed, I feel that I answered some questions too generically to make a lasting impression.

I have some rather unique circumstances and no actual industry experience so the individual I spoke with was pretty understanding and also told me to keep in touch and continue networking the way I was. I'm happy to elaborate, but if you look at my posting history you can pretty easily figure out what they are. He was also extremely helpful in discussing his firm's culture and differentiating the Sales side of EM FI vs the Trading side. Also really hammered home that every interaction, especially on the phone, is akin to a job interview.

Anyway, I have another call set up with a Director at DB in FX Sales. Because I'm VERY interested in FX, and have focused more heavily on it in graduate school (MSc Finance Quant focus), I feel somewhat more comfortable with the topic. I searched through all of the forums and came up with about ten pages of informative discussion posts about FX, Sales Desks, DB, and general information. At this point I'm feeling much better about this upcoming call than I did about the last one I had.

I was hoping anybody with experience at DB, especially in FX, or in Sales, might be able to elaborate a little bit more, as I really want to hit a home run. Basically, I've been interested in FX (and a few other areas) for a long time, and am finally ready to make a career change. I'm reading everything I can about the firm and have been in touch with several people there. I'm trying to learn more specifically about FX Sales culture and what kinds of questions I should be prepared to answer and possibly ask.

Thank you very much!
