DB IB vs S&T

The general consensus seems to be that DB IB is a declining business. My question is do these declines reach into the FICC division? My understanding is that DB has exited the equities divisions (which they performed poorly In) and are still fairly strong In FICC.

Those who say DB is declining don't understand what the bank is trying to do (internal restructuring). Yes they do have certain issues but don't forget they are still a BB and the sheer network you get from working there can open many doors in the future.

Haven't heard much on DB M&A activity but they still have other very strong IB groups (sponsors and LevFin). I spoke to a few analysts from both NYC and London offices and everyone was satisfied with DB.
