In general, you'd likely be selling derivs to an institutional client base. this involves knowing what types of trades interest your customer and looking for value and trade ideas, as well as provided market color to your clients.

 

nothing. marketing=sales. is it institutional and if so which institutions would you cover. covering the gse's is a bit different than covering hedge funds.
