Desk Strat 2020 Offer

Hi everyone,

I recently obtained an offer to start full time as a desk strat at a mid-tier BB bank (i.e. NOT GS, JPM, MS). I will be entering directly out of undergrad, and was just curious as to what compensation for a first-year analyst should look like in this role. Additionally, what type of exit opportunities will exist in this role moving forward? Are systematic/quantitative HFs still interested in sell-side strats looking to make the transition to the buy-side?

He took the time to understand my background, past experiences, and the specific roles I am currently recruiting for, and then tailored his suggestions accordingly. He also connected many of his recommendations to his own professional background and experiences, which made the feedback much more practical and credible. Instead of simply telling me what to change, he explained why certain answers or approaches would be more effective and how an interviewer might interpret them.
