Do I risk an Infra PE offer to go all in on power trading

Interned at an Infra PE fund this summer and secured an AN1 offer, which I’m proud of. At the same time, I’m paying attention to the tailwinds in the BESS/electricity trading markets in PJM and ERCOT — limited transmission, load growth, congestion all points to lucrative opportunities for electricity trading and batteries in particular.

Have an opportunity to interview at a small electricity trading shop, but I’m unsure if I want to make the switch. Can I reach out to the recruiter just to learn more with no intention of switching? Would you make the switch?
