do I suck or is it nearly impossible for a quant or trader to lateral right now
Is anyone else with 1-2yrs experience and a decent resume having trouble making a lateral move within trading?
Need more info. I'm 25 and work at a quant shop as a B.S. level analyst/researcher - I haven't really been aggressively trying to lateral but wouldn't necessarily anticipate having difficulties, but who knows. Like I said though, need more info. Short answer is "no", though....
I'm a 2nd year analyst in a quant group, B.S. level, but at a fundamental shop. My environment has become pretty toxic and I've been looking aggressively for about a month now. I realize that one month is nothing, but judging from the postings i've been seeing, it seems like opportunities are few and far between.
