Do you still get a bonus if you dont make Associate?

What happens if at the end of 2 years in a S&T Analyst program you are not asked to be an assocaite, do you still get a bonus in June if you are asked to leave?

Lets say the desk was not a great fit for you and you cant move internally, I am interested in knowing if you still get a bonus, even if its at the bottom end of the range...

I would be asking myself why the hell I went into something as risky as S&T.

u went into S&T to make $$$ and to be able to spend it, as opposed to IBanking which consists of getting fat and looking at excel charts all day. not to mention S&T compensation is based on merit and performance, not # of years worked

got to love the S&T guys vrs the Ibankers interesting how your compensation is based on merit and performance in S&T ..... for some weird reason i thought it was market based and if you were a great CDO trader or your job relates to a trading sector that takes a big hit..... your getting cut regardless of how good you were..... theres plusses and minuses on each side of the ibanking/S&T debate

forget the debate, regardless if u were in the s&t analyst program or banking one, lets say a person does not make associate in either program scenario, do you still get that bonus in june if that person chooses to move to Bulgaria afterwards to herd goats, do you still get the check in june??

yes, you get a bonus. but the low range is 20k - 40k

some BB S&T programs give you a 3rd year, too, if they're unsure about you. the $20k - $40k low-rung bonus is mainly a blow-off number to tell you: go herd goats.

but that's why S&T has some serious caveats. good luck transferring esoteric knowledge of a bizarre financial derivative into a new profession.

ehh, it's not so bad. you've shown you're smart and can pick things up quickly.
