Energy Traders
Not sure if anyone saw this one, these numbers are staggering: https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/top-energy-trader…
From my understanding Shell's year was tied to LNG. Vitol's nbrs are insane considering their relative volumes. Sounds like their power biz may have been a big part of that. Also interesting how far Glencore has fallen in the rankings volume wise, smaller than Gunvor or Danske at this point.
Time to call a top or is this just getting started?
Danske is the craziest one I think - x10 last year's profit.
Was most likely the top I think. Both an extremely bullish gas and power market right at the same time. Ofc still an uncertain world, but I think everyone in the business has already adjusted their expectations for 2023
Sucks for the Danske traders who didn't get bonuses (or the amt they deserved)
