Equity Sales with no prior IB/Sales experience

I’m looking at an equity sales position at JPM, analyst level. I did have my Series 7 and Series 66 years ago, but then I got into Supply Management for the government and work as a Contract Officer. I am halfway through an MBA program (online) definitely not a “target school”, so am I just wasting my time even applying for this?

Strangely, the requirements don’t seem that vast. I was expecting to see 3-5+ years experience, etc, but it was only 1+ experience and I think it might have even been listed under “preferred”.

Thoughts?
