Equity swaps/synthetics/etfs
These desks seems really interesting during my internship and I enjoy the teams. Any info in regards to how this product will be long term is it likely to be automated easily?

I presume you’re referring to prime brokerage/equity financing desk which is where I work atm in as well.
I don’t think it’ll be easily automated as banks can still leverage their balance sheet to trade these products for clients like hedge funds. And swaps are OTC and not standardised products.
but I heard exit opp is quite little but interested to hear other views
What kind of traders do you think is not easily automatically replaced?
Cannot speak for other desks but I think things like cash equity has been/will be automated soon

In terms of banks? GS/MS/JPM are pretty good
