FI prop to hedge fund
Hi guys,
I have been working at a prop shop in Chicago for the past three years trading spreads on liquid FI products. I am curious about options in the hedge fund space. Reason for this is that I like to learn the hedge fund industry and maybe start my own fund one day.
My question is, how am I viewed as a prop trader to HF PMs? I have a fairly good track record and quite good at my niche FI strategies. I heard hedge funds are more interested in people who can trade many strategies beyond arb, would that put me at an disadvantage? Lastly, what are some funds that trade FI relative value?
