Fidelity Investments vs Trading Programmes in IBs

I am currently looking at graduate roles at Fidelity and have a few questions with regards to careers there and careers at IBs.

1) How does the path from investment analyst to portfolio manager at Fidelity compare with being a trader at an investment bank (post Volcker rule that is)? 2) How do they compare in terms of prestige? 3) Which offers better training and more exit opportunities? 4) Which would give you greater exposure at an earlier age and which would be more demanding (in terms of actual work, not length of day? 5) Would/Could you move from Fidelity of a HF at a later date and why would you do so? 6) How does compensation compare?

Feel free to comment on any positives and negatives of each that I have not considered above. Moreover, all opinions are welcomed.
