Final round internship fx options - got it! Need some advice now!

Finally, I got it and I'm really happy about it. Thanks for all the help! The team was really nice and I'm pretty sure that I will accept the offer. Just to be even more sure what to do, I would like to send someone a message who is able to "rate" a fx options desk. E.g. someone who worked in FICC for some time. Please just reply "me" or send me a message. My other opportunity would be a Goldman summer internship in their securities division.

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,

I have a final round in fx options trading (summer internship) coming up. There is so much information online that 99% of it seems to be crap. I`m an engineering student and thus would be especially interested in resources for macro economics influences on currencies. Would be cool if you could help me out!

Regards, thedude

And I disagree with coffeebateman. You won't learn anything by just blindly trading. Once you have some sense in what moves the FX markets, then virtual trading is beneficial.

It is a good book, explains the fundamental drives of the international markets pretty well.

Definitely know your greeks, understand basics about volatility such as the smile and smirk. Might want to also have a basic knowledge of exotic products such as digitals, KOs, RKOs, etc.

Oh and also know what the carry trade is, and what is happening right now in the framework of a dollar rally and risk-off.

Hey guys, could you please help me out which options might be traded at the desk? I would say mainly normal calls/puts (so exchange options) and SPOT Options (Single Payment Options Trading a.k.a. Binary Options a.k.a. Digital Options). But I cannot find any exact information. Furthermore, I would like to know whether more complicated basket options are traded at this desk or within the exotics group?
