Full time question

Is full-time hiring over for good or is there any chance that IBanks may be adding a position or 2 in S&T from now until the full-time start date? Also, say a trader were to really like you, is there anyway he would be able to push for you by asking the bank to make one more hire?

Absolutely not? zero chance?

It depends. We have seen several posts recently of people who just got FT offers so it does happen. The trader who likes you can really push, but unless he is an MD, or can get an MD to support him, or someone else higher up you might be out of luck.

Side note--I have had MD's who basically said who was hired without a Superday and HR. I know other MDs who say go to HR and have no power. Not sure what gives them power or not. Might be the firm or maybe they just don't know that they can demand a FT hire. Some MDs interview on Superdays, but thats it and they dont do much in terms of recruiting; HR tells them to interview people. Superdays are run by HR so they assume HR has all the power.---------Just a thought, has anyone run into a similar situation?

CS wanted experienced FX sales men (especially from UBS) so that they could really make a push in the FX space.
