Future of Voice Broking?

I've been applying for FT positions within Sales (BBs) and voice broking at IDBs.

Thus far I've been rejected for Sales, but hold an offer for voice broking (think ICAP/Tullett/Tradition).

My worry is that I don't want to get into a dying market; i.e. if in 2 years time I have very few transferable skills because the market is dead.

What do you think the future holds for voice brokers?

Ice and other exchanges have brokers in the background still. I would figure the would move to a similar model. No one really know what is going to happen yet. At one time, I heard ICAP/Tullet/Tradation all would need to create their own screen so every trade was cleared through a central screen.

Maybe you should call those working there and ask them how Dodd-Frank may affect them.
