Gap Semester Ideas
Graduating December and starting an analyst role at top MM in July. Busted my ass for years with tunnel vision to get this opportunity and now don't know how to deal with the freedom that has come to my table. Unsure how to best use this time as it's a once in a lifetime morsel of freedom. Could use this time to plan exit for buy-side or explore/travel the world.
What would you do if you were in my shoes? Any opportunities that fit these criteria that you are aware of? Books/movies for inspiration?
Some ideas I had were to:
-Work at a luxury ski resort as a chef/waiter/hostess/bartender
-Find volunteer programs that pay for travel and accommodations
-Road trip around the country couch surfing at friends cribs ( this might get old quick)
-Get a 9-5 easy full-time job with social perks for 6 months in a foreign country to break into the social scene and pay living expenses
-Work at Hedge Fund or investment bank overseas
