Goldman Sachs vs J.P. Morgan: Which is better for trading?

I have full time offers in New York from both in trading, I’m interested to know others thoughts and experiences with either firm, particularly regarding the culture, quality of trading resources and technology, potential for career growth, and any other factors that might make one firm a better fit for trading than the other.

JPM. Their trading in FICC is top on the street and has been for a long time. Specially anything in Rates. Equities business is also on the come up and beat out GS/MS recently for revenues. Culture wise JPM is very collegial and team oriented. Also for intern purposes return rates are higher compared to GS.

I don’t think you can go wrong with either one of them though lol. Both are extremely well branded and reputable. Anything with Rates/Currencies choose JP, equities I’d say it’s pretty even and you can do either one, commodities go for GS. If I were in your position though I’d choose JPM. Hope that helps.
