Good Computer Programs to Know?
For someone who is really interested in HF work, particularly on the credit side, what are good programming languages to know? I've been building up on VBA to improve my Excel skills, and a friend has recommended learning Python, but I wanted to hear thoughts from other people.
And out of curiosity, how is this answer different for someone who is interested in S&T at a BB or IBD?
most trading algorithms use these languages, though you won't employ programming as a trader.
