Group One - Offered an internship
I was offered an internship with Group One for the upcoming summer and was looking for some up to date opinions on this trading firm. Anybody have recent experiences? Why are trader's base salaries so much lower than other big firms? Any opinions help. Thanks.
I interned at Group One last summer. Really cool firm, everyone is super laid back. Not sure about the base salary relative to other props, but if your good you can make a killing at Group One that's for sure. Some of their traders easily make +400K....

i met some of their MDs. very nice people. dont know shit about the interview process.
interviews are highly technical and they really put the stress test to you on the first phone screen. Know probability and brain teasers well. Be able to handle pressure.

Has anyone interviewed at G1 trading this season? I'm trying to get a feel for what the interview system is like, what type of probability-based questions they ask, and something about their brainteasers.

I know there is already a topic on them, just wanted to see if anyone new on here had any input or if anyone else had any input. I know they do mainly market making on equity options, I've gone through their website, but all the info on here seemed pretty negative. Thoughts? Thanks in advance...
