HELP PLEASE!! received a job offer
I just received a job offer from a major trading firm in Chicago. They are offering me an initial account size of 275K and a 50% of profit after commissions. Does this sound like a good offer? Their training program will start soon and I want to know from you guys, what do you think, would you take this and why? Is a 275K account size for new traders lower than the industry or greater with regard to new traders.
Thank You
Sounds like a chop shop. How much are you really going to make? If you swing for the fences (50%) then you might make over 100 in one year but will surely get burned in second or third year. They must have some risk regulations.
They're not a chop shop. They have a very good training program. But as far as the 275k is concerned, does that sound legitimate. Have you heard of firms starting new traders with 275K initial account, with no capital contribution.
what are your other options?
Right now nothing
If
1) their training is well respected 2) you have confidence in your abilities 3) you have no other options...
I don't think it really matters whether it is "market" / "normal" -- it doesn't sound way off the mark but I'm not very knowledgeable about prop trading firms.
Thanks
If you are starting there as a new trader in their training program, would they still allow you to trade while you are being trained ? Are they offering you a salary ?
