Holding puts on halted stock - experienced traders please chime in
I bought some 2.50 puts on sinotech energy with a september expiry -- and nasdaq recently halted tradingbowing to accounting irregularities. What happens if the trading halt continues past the expiry? Are long puts screwed?
It's likely to be halted past the expiration date.
You can exercise them and hope they open below 2.5$.
