How does Credit Suisse do these days
Recently, I received S&T SA offer from CS. Was wondering if CS has a strong presence in US and HK. How does CS compare with Barclays and UBS with respect to Sales and Trading? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Pretty strong in SG/HK. Biggest Analyst class in Singapore compared to the other banks, which says a lot about the deal flow.
Any idea about the S&T in SG?

CS used to be a strong EM shop. now... their S&T is pretty much dead. unless Tidjane leaves, I highly doubt anything will change. their business model now is to focus on the stable fee business i.e. private banking rather than the balance sheet heavy or volatile businesses
Is this for the US market or globally? I am more interested in the APAC market. Thanks for your input.
this is for Asia. it's as good as dead, give or take a few more years.
well we are trading with CS and thy always quote really well for EM debt, also their fill rate is much higher than other counterparts
I still see CS active in primary Latam DCM as bookrunner and quoting secondary, but I would not be surprised if Tidjane is cracking down. They did the 2018 500 GOL bonds as lead left.
Still dependent on product, but Barclays is the strongest trading franchise of the 3.
bump, interested in knowing where they're strongest.
Aren't they still somewhat strong in securitized in US? Primary & secondary?

killing it in LevFin both in NY and LND
Would you have any more insight into LFO&R? any idea on culture of the group, buy-side placement, analyst experience? (in New York)
There are other threads on this group. Have heard it’s very strong (one of the top LevFin groups on the street) and analysts place well. Seems like LFO&R and FSG are by far the strongest groups at CS
