How much does an algo trading software development cost?

The cost of developing algorithmic trading software can vary depending on the features, complexity, and development team. On average:

  • Basic versions with simple strategy automation may cost around $5,000 to $15,000.

  • Mid-level software with backtesting, multiple broker API support, and dashboards may cost $15,000 to $40,000.

  • Advanced custom platforms with AI, real-time data, high-frequency trading, and risk management tools can go above $50,000.

Costs also depend on whether you're building it in-house or hiring a software company. Always plan for extra costs like server hosting, maintenance, and updates.

I recently heard about a company called Hashcodex that offers budget-friendly algo trading software solutions worldwide. Some people I know gave good feedback about their work. I’m planning to try them for my next project. If you're thinking the same, you can check them out too.
