How to determine size of trading book?
Banks typically describe a trader's capital in terms of book value, i.e. "2MM book", and then loss-limits/returns will be in percentage basis of this.
But what about traders who are constrained instead by maximum position size or a nominal $ downsize limit? Any way to equate the two measurements?
