How to pitch a bond

I have to pitch a bond for a school program in 2 months. However, I have no clue about how to approach this and the pitch has to last 7 minutes (with visual support). Any resource or tips on how to pitch bonds would be greatly appreciated!!!

If you're pitching a bond you should bringing up a few things. First being what's the value behind it? What's its G spread, how does its G spread compare to similar credits, how does its G spread compare to other products in the fixed income space. The second thing I'd talk about is what's it rating, how has the issuer's credit looked like in the past. Then go over the intrinsics of the bond. Where does it fall in the capital structure? Is this secured debt, unsecured, subordinate, senior lien, and what are the benefits of this. What are cash flows backed by? Mortgage repayment, agency payments, tax revenue, the list goes on. These are some ideas you should be thinking about.

This is great advice. Would just also add that if you're pitching a HY bond you might want to look at covenants on the debt and if there are any related to performance how those are tracking.
