I Like Short-Term Trading, What Career Should I Pursue?
I really enjoy short term trading, only holding intraday positions or positions for less than a week, as that keeps things exciting as new stuff is always happening. At a normal L/S HF, you buy a stock and hold it longer term if your thesis plays out. While that is nice and all, the longer investment process seems boring to me. What careers could I have that would allow me to trade on a short term basis while developing my own trade ideas? Don't want to be purely a market maker/execution expert on the sell-side long-term. Apologies for the naivety in advance.
Most fixed income secondary books operate in this manner with exit opps to hedge funds if you have the chops
