Institutional Sales - Received an offer from this group
I received an offer for an institutional sales job at a smaller firm. The offer does not sound good the salary is 25000 and I have to open twenty accounts. I receive 10% commission for the accounts I open. Then I have a choice of going on my own and take 10percent of my best clients and receive a 50percent payout or stay in my group. All the people I open too have to be qualified people (100 million in asset). Or it sounded like the account does not count. Is this common for institutional sales job I just think this salary is just way to low. Any suggestion I think I should keep on looking.
Boiler room?
Does anyone else have any experiences with equity Institutional research sales comp? I was offered a job at a smaller firm too. Different from blair...no written account demands(just that I need to sell) and higher salary....but it still seems low
