Institutional Sales vs Sales Trader

I work at a regional boutique in asia, and im on rotation right now as junior institutional sales , but i sit next to a sales trader and have always liked being close to the market ....seniors think id make a great sales guy, but id also like to do sales trading...

any sales traders out there shed some light on how its like, im sure sales trading at my boutique will be different than the ones out at BB .....career prospect wise which one has more exit options? of course at the end of the day it all come down to $$ ....so which one would have the better potential to make more...

ive searched the forums and couldnt find anything so thats why i posted......if i need to make a change i need to do it quick before im sent off to the next country away from HQ

thanks a bunch....
